Today I am reflecting back on 2016 and I'm going to be honest it hasn't looked much like I expected. Plans were delayed or changed and I spent a much longer amount of time support raising than I ever expected. But there was so much goodness in this year in the things I experienced, the things the Father taught me, and who He became for me this year.
1. I hiked 30 miles of the Appalachian Trail.
2. I worked with the Lord to find an amazing group and team of people to partner with me in the Philippines.
3. I learned to stay when the Lord says stay and go when He says go.
4. I found I had more perseverance in me than I thought I did.
5. The Father showed me once again that His provision (and timing) is good and perfect.ย
6. I moved to Wisconsin, began working with Bella Goose, and even learned a little latte art in the process. (More to share soon!)
7. I saw snow for the first time!
8. I reconnected with old friends and made many life-long new friends.ย
9. I read some really great books including a couple of new favorite, East of Eden & The Hobbit.
10. I discovered deeper levels of intimacy with the Father.
11. I explored three new states and several new cities.
12. I became more confident in who the Father has created me to be and the gifts He has given me.
13. I was able use my hand-lettering/painting talents to bless others.
14. The Father has been my Comforter in hard times.
15. He has continually amazed me with how well he knows me, knows my heart, and how much He cares about the smallest details of my life.
16. He has been the One who has been absolutely steady and constant through all of the ups and downs and transitions the year has brought.
Here's to another year of adventuring with the Lord that will start off with a move to the Philippines!
